CLAT 2013 Entrance Test To Be held On 12 May

CLAT 2013 To be Held on May 12
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2013) is an all India entrance examination conducted by 14 National Law Schools / Universities for admissions to their undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programmes (LL.B and LL.M) commencing on session 2013.
The CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2013 is tentatively scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 03.00 PM to 05.00 PM. Registration for the CLAT 2013 to be announced shortly. The CLAT-2013 is being conducted by Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur.

JEE Main 2013 Entrance Exam To Be Held on 7 April

Key Notifications of JEE Main 2013
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Notification, the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2013 will be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. Now, AIEEE will be known as JEE (Main) and IIT - JEE as JEE (Advanced).
For admission to NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) like IIITs etc. and other participating Institutions, the merit/rank list shall be prepared based on 40% weightage to school Boards marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks shall be considered only after normalization.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi announced the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2013 to be held on April 07, 2013 Pen & Paper Based Exam and from April 08 to 25, 2013 Computer Based examination.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has notified National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Postgraduate (PG) Courses commencing in the session 2013.
NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from November 23rd, 2012 to December 6th, 2012. NEET-PG is a mandatory test for gaining entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses at all medical colleges under ambit of PGME Regulation of MCI. No candidate who has failed to obtain the minimum eligibility marks as prescribed, shall be admitted to any Post Graduate course.
The number of testing centres for NEET PG 2013 has been increased and additional session has been added to the schedule. According to the National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi the number of testing centres has also been increased to 50 across 33 cities.

NEET PG 2013 registration has been closed.

CBSE Announces Exam Dates For Problem Solving Test

Problem Solving Assessment Test Dates
The CBSE (Central Board Of Secondary Education) has announced the test dates for the 'Problem Solving Assessment Test'. It is a mandatory test for all students of Class 9 and class 11. It will assess the Life Skills relating to following areas:
a) Quantitative Reasoning: Includes the reasoning seen in the Humanities, Arts and social Sciences
b) Qualitative Reasoning: We includes the kinds of reasoning found in Mathematics and science and
c) Language Conventions: Which includes different aspects of written communications (for instance Grammar, Vocabulary etc..)
The test contains of 60 items of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and carry 90 marks. Distribution of 60 items shall be as following:

These items will incorporate aspects of 21st century Skills like Creative thinking, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Communication that lead to success at Secondary stage. They would further be assessing student's ability to process, interpret and use information rather than assessing students prior subject matter knowledge.
The sections in Problem Solving Assessment will be designed in such a way so as to improve the generic and higher order thinking skills. This will also result in improving scores within the core school subjects.
For Class IX: The problem solving assessment will be counted towards FA-4 which is 10% of total assessments of class IX. This assessment will also be carried forward towards the FA-4 in class 9. This score will be reflected in one language (Either English or Hindi), Mathematics, Science and social Science with effect from session 2012-13 for Class 9 and 2013-14 for Class 10. The same will be reflected in FA-4 for class 9 and 10.
For Class 11: Students will get a certificate on the Problem Solving Assessment by July 2013. There shall be no seperate time tables or periods for teaching or practice of PSA in schools.
Please note:
  • The examination for class 9 and 11 will be held on 14th February, 2013, Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, in the school premises only.
  • Candidates shall appear against their Registration number.
  • The board shall provide question paper containing OMR Answer Sheet, for candidates of class9 and class 11 registered for academic session 2012-13.
